CarterSinclair Organization Expands Commitment
For almost a year, the CarterSinclair Org has assisted families and health care providers handle type 1 diabetes. Now Carter Sinclair expands its commitment to La Quinta families by weaving all of its programs and funds for youth with type 1 diabetes so they can investigate and learn new potential about themselves and their diabetes while relating with other children like them.
“This is so exciting for children and youth to help them explore a safe and secure online diabetes management tools environment for youth and get support by talking with other kids who are dealing with the same issues. They will earn about issues affecting people with diabetes as well as interact with other youth through a variety of social networking opportunities including message boards, personal sharing and online polls. ”
Lorraine was diagnosed with type 1 at the age 13 and has been an active volunteer with Carter Sinclair Org events and programs for almost a year. She make consciousness of the significance of learning all about diabetes, and talk about CarterSinclair efforts to raise funding for diabetes study to protect people with diabetes against discrimination, and to affirm to everyone with diabetes has access to affordable, quality health care.

Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults and accounts for 5% to 10% of all diagnosed cases of diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin.
