]]> The term"Fashion" stands for modernity and prestige. Question is: do the fashion trends keep changing? Or do they just rotate? The 80's style which was out of fashion a few years back is now the so called 'new' style statement. But is it really new? The leggings and dress shirts are back in fashion now, which were worn by the Punk generation and now dress from baby girls to grown women. So are we really moving towards new style statements or it just repetition of our old trends with some modifications and marketing that sells it as new?
For example, hot pants and tops worn by celebrities and young girls and women in the 80's, started all together a Bobby era, and today in 2012 they are back with certain variation and are a basic element of casual girls clothes. Cut off jeans worn over leggings can be seen now on every corner, show cased by girls and young women that have a zest in fashion. The Kimono style of shirts was very popular in the early 90's, and that style is back in latest trend, today those shirts have become a must thing in every girls wardrobe.

So the question that needs to be answered is, are we actually innovating in terms of fashion and trends or we are just recycling what was successful in time all over again & again? Be it the very famous Retro look, or the style influenced by India's fashion clothing, its coming back and staying for long.

There are noticeable changes, however: people are dressing up for various means and occasions; and this includes their children. What for a mother is her office-wear, is her daughter's school dress. The varieties seem endless: casuals, party wear, day dresses you wear for a stroll onto town, and so on. There is segmentation for each clothing line; 'availability' being major factor for this. Anything and everything is available in market these days. From girls dresses, accessories to shoes to bags, you name it & you have it. Ample designs, colors, size are available at not only the mortar stores but also with the shops online. The internet keeps on pushing, doubling it's turn over in the last 5 years. This generation believes in being first to flaunt the latest trends. And they are ready to experiment with colors, pattern & style for themselves and their children. Talking about new trends in fashion, innovation is necessary now, may be that's the reason people are moving to designer wears more than towards shopping malls, at least those that can afford the prices.
