Fort Lauderdale, FL ( 12pressrelease ) August 13, 2009 - Scorpion Performance, Inc., an American manufacturer of precision parts for high performance engines, congratulates NMCA Edelbrock Drag Racing drivers Troy Coughlin and Jim Blair for winning again at what has been dubbed the All Star Nationals this past weekend at the zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was their second win in as many races.

While Troy Coughlin won in the Scorpion Performance Pro Street Class, which is the top class in the NMCA series, Scorpion-sponsored Jim Blair took the win in the Mickey Thompson Super Street 10.5W Class. Scorpion Performance sponsors Blair who is a two-time world champion and is leading the points again this year.

This was the inaugural NMCA Drag Racing event at the new zMAX Dragway. Visit the NMCA website at http://www.nmcadigital.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11925 for the full story. Winning back-to-back races is difficult anytime, but especially when the second race is at a new, untested track. Everyone at Scorpion congratulates Coughlin, Blair and their teams for their hard work and resulting victories.

Scorpion Performance manufacturers millions of high performance engine parts that are marketed and distributed through its retail division, Scorpion Racing Products. Visit http://www.scorpionracingproducts.com to see the entire Scorpion product line and download their new catalog.

Fort Lauderdale, FL ( 12pressReelase ) August 01 ,2009 Scorpion Performance, Inc., (http://www.scorpionperformance.com), an American manufacturer of precision parts for high performance engines, is proud to announce that Chevy High Performance magazine chose Scorpion 1.6:1 ratio rocker arms for a hot new engine build. A complete description and many photographs of the build can be see in an online article titled ´358 Small Block Cylinder Head & Rocker Arm Upgrade - Bigger Is Better‘ at http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/tech/engines_drivetrain/cams_heads_valvetrain/0905chp_358_small_block_cylinder_head_rocker_arm_upgrade/index.html

According to author John Nelson, “Moving more air through this motor with a set of big, 235cc runner Motown 23-degree cylinder heads, teamed with a bump in cam specs via a set of Scorpion 1.6:1 rocker arms, proved to be exactly a formula our test subject liked - especially at the track.” The engine picked up 16 horsepower, more torque and ran a three-tenths better elapsed time at the track.

Visit Scorpion Racing Products website at http://www.scorpionracingproducts.com for more information or to purchase Scorpion Performance rocker arms and a complete line of valve train products. The new Scorpion Racing Products catalog can also be viewed and downloaded on this site.
