Social Raves is a search and social networking platform around local businesses. The site aims to connect people and let them easily share their experiences about local service providers and businesses so that they arrive at better decisions about where to go, who to hire, where to eat, what to do, etc. More importantly, the site is a platform for local businesses to leverage the power of social media and large social networking sites to drive traffic and revenues. Consumer sign-up on the site is free. Revenues will come from advertising, business subscriptions, and e-commerce (e.g., group deals).
