Cricket is one of the popular sports and the fan following for the same are numerous! Cool 94.7 fm is all set to present one of the UAE‘s biggest and most exciting inter-emirate cricket championship i.e. Cool Premier League (CPL). It consists of 7 teams each owed by the ravishing RJ‘s of Cool fm. This league is filled with all the electrifying actions of cricket assuring an amazing tournament for both participants as well as all the cricket aficionados!
The major highlight of the Cool Premier League is that the matches will be played amongst the 7 emirates of the UAE, each team owned by the RJ‘s of Cool fm -
- Abu Dhabi Warriors which is owned by RJ Alba,
- Dubai Tigers owned by RJ/DJ Abhijeet,
- Sharjah Bulls owned by RJ Vicky,
- Ajman Panthers owned by Radioactive Neha,
- RAK Scorpions owned by RJ Pooja,
- UAQ Rangers owned by RJ Alveena, and
- Fujairah Eagles owned by RJ Prince.
Terming it a “Success from the beginning,†Niraj Mehta Programming Director of Cool 94.7 FM, believes that the league will give a new platform to all cricket enthusiasts to exhibit their talent & also get a feel of playing for a franchise. The matches of CPL are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays where each team will play against the other 6 teams for a total of 21 matches. Based on points (2 points for every victory), the top 4 teams advance to the playoffs, two semi-finals and a grand final complete the tournament.
CPL is one of the biggest cricket event organized by Cool 94.7 fm and the battle begins from 6th May 2011 at Insportz, Dubai. So, all the listeners of Cool fm gear up for this event of the lifetime and shout hard for your favorite RJ‘s team.
