Belgravia is well known for its world-class eateries and for its celebrity style. It's unsurprising, then, that these two worlds occasionally combine, and restaurants in Belgravia spring up that are owned, run or endorsed by celebrity chefs. These TV cooks are attracted by the area's reputation for excellent food, as well as its central London location.

If you want to check out one of these restaurants in Belgravia, and get a side of celebrity style with your meal, then why not try one of the four below:

Petrus by Gordon Ramsay - Ramsay is one of the world's best-known celebrity chefs, thanks to his popular television shows in the UK and the USA - such as Hell's Kitchen, The F Word, and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. He has opened a number of restaurants in Belgravia and the surrounding areas of London, but for a true taste of Ramsay's signature style just minutes from the famous Belgrave Square, you've got to go to Petrus. Located on Kinnerton Street, Petrus is one of the best French restaurants in Belgravia (and with so many restaurants in Belgravia serving up Gallic dishes, this is certainly a high accolade). The menu is modern French, and has been created by head chef Sean Burbidge.

Roux at Parliament Square by Michel Roux - Parliament Square is one of the most beautiful locations in all of SW1, so it's fitting that one of the most beautiful restaurants in Belgravia is located there. Roux specialises in classic dishes with contemporary flair, all served up in luxurious surroundings. The restaurant also includes a bar, which serves up light dishes in a busy, welcoming atmosphere. Michel Roux Jr, the celebrity chef who lends his name to the restaurant, is best known for the BBC television show Masterchef: The Professionals. His celebrity status makes this one of the most popular restaurants in Belgravia, so booking well in advance is recommended if you want to pay Roux a visit.

Apsleys by Heinz Beck - Unlike Ramsay and Roux, Beck hasn't appeared on UK television all that much. His fame has built up in this country almost purely on the strength of his food - despite him opening his first restaurant here relatively late into his career. Within a few months of opening, the restaurant had earned a Michelin star, joining the many restaurants in Belgravia that have been bestowed with this prestigious award. Apsleys specialises in real Italian fare. Most of the chefs that work there are Italian, and have spent many years working with the internationally-renowned Beck. It truly is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Belgravia.

Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley - Wareing became better known to the UK public thanks to his appearances on the television show Great British Menu. As a result, his restaurant at The Berkeley hotel is in high demand. Located just a stone's throw away from Hyde Park, Wareing's restaurant is widely considered to be one of the best restaurants in Belgravia. It serves up modern European cuisine, focusing on light dishes that bring out the subtle flavours of their ingredients.

SW1 attracts many celebrity names, and restaurants in Belgravia are no exception to this trend. There are many Belgravia and Mayfair restaurants which are run or endorsed by television chefs; this guide looks at a few of them.
