The light source performs fast and accurate measurements on long-distance and local optical networks. It also measures the loss in an optical fiber at a range of up to 200km when used in conjunction with a Laser Power Meter.
This portable laser light source, model XG3020, offers high stability for accurate fiber optic testing. It provides stable power output at wavelengths of 1310nm or 1550nm through a single output connector. The light source can operate in either continuous wave mode or 2kHz modulated mode for up to twelve hours without service interruption. The rugged device operates on a single 9V battery and gives a low battery indication when requiring battery replacement.
