Minecratf is an immensely popular video game that is recognized for its visual feature. Developed by Markus "Notch" Persson, the game tests the player's artistry and building capability. With its several game play modes like Survival, Creative, Hardcore and Classic, Minecraft is a game that not only entertains but also inculcates building and construction realizing and creativity.
Minecraft is an independent video game based on building blocks of sand. The game focuses on building and creativity as the player builds constructions out of cubes in the three dimensional world of the game. The game was made and developed by Markus "Notch" Persson and his company Mojang. The game is heavily influenced by Infiniminer and Dwarf Fortress.
Minecraft can be basically played in two gaming modes. The first is the Survival mode where the player is supposed to fight for his survival. Thus, the player has to achieve various resources for himself as well as to look after his health and hunger. As the player is attacked by monsters, lava or by any environmental damage, his health bar is exhausted. In addition to this is a hunger bar which has to be replenished from time to time by consuming various food items like bread or pork chops in the game.
The other game play mode is the Creative mode in which there is no restrict to the supply of resources. Moreover, there are no hindrances like health or hunger. The player is not affected by any mob or environmental damage and is even empowered with the power to fly. In the Creative mode, the player can die only by falling down the Void.
There is another game mode called Hardcore which is quite identical to the Survival mode. The only exception is that the difficulty level of the game is set on the hardest level even as respawning is disabled. The player is thus forced to delete his world upon his death.
An old version of Minecraft is also achievable. Unlike the new versions of the game, the old Classic game play mode is free. However, it is no more updated. This mode is basically similar to the creative mode, though some of the blocks may function differently. The player in minecraft games is provided with huge liberty to choose how to play the game. The chief aims of the player is to survive attacks by monsters, called "hostile mobs" in the game, and to continue building shelter and accommodation.
