Skin cancer is the most common cancer affecting Americans. More than 1 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed and treated yearly in the Unites States alone. In the study, patients received five Fraxel Laser resurfacing sessions immediately following skin cancer surgery in half of the scar, with the remaining half serving as internal control. The treated half of the scar demonstrated 50-75% improvement compared to the half not treated.
Fraxel Laser resurfacing is an effective option for treatment of mature acne, traumatic and surgical scars.
