(12PressRelease.com) Organique, the well-loved ethical wholefoods shop of Totterdown, Bristol has launched it‘s new e-commerce website, ShopOrganique.co.uk.
ShopOrganique.co.uk gives customers across the country the ability to have natural, sustainable and ethical groceries delivered to their door. With over 600 products available ranging from fairly traded chocolate to organic skin care and with free delivery on orders over £50, Organique aims to provide everything needed for an ethical lifestyle.
Since opening in April 2008 the shop has proved a great success with the residents of Totterdown, Bristol.
“Before we set up shop here, Totterdown was something of an organic food desert. We felt that there was something missing and talking to neighbours confirmed that we weren‘t the only ones thinking it. With Organique we‘ve really fulfilled a need, and the local community has responded so positively. We‘re really happy to be trading here and are especially excited about our new online delivery service.â€
Bristol‘s reputation as an organic centre is well established with an independent natural food shop now in many neighbourhoods. But outside of the city not everyone is lucky enough to live next door to a natural food shop. Many consumers are looking for an alternative to a weekend so often spent at the supermarket and it is this that spurred ShopOrganique.co.uk into existence.
With its online delivery service, ShopOrganique aims to provide the same personal service that you would receive from the local Totterdown shop. Having a small staff affords a continuity throughout the delivery process that is unavailable in many larger organisations. Customers feel reassured that the person they speak to on the phone is the same person packing and checking their order. The Organique team have also worked hard to offer something different from the average food retailer. Alternative organic brands like the Popina biscuit range sit comfortably next to more familiar fare such as the Weleda baby products and Montezuma‘s Chocolates. Great Bristol brands also make a proud appearance with Pukka‘s teas and supplements featuring heavily across the site.
The downturn hasn‘t been easy on organic food businesses with the closing of Fresh and Wild on Queens Road, but with the continued success of many smaller organic shops like Organique, it is obvious that there is still a great demand for products with a conscience. More and more people are becoming concerned about the way we live and the effects of our consumer choices on our health, the environment and economics. It is clear that people are still willing to spend a little extra for premium goods that address these issues and promote a greener way of life. Organique maintains these strong values and, whilst avoiding being preachy, demonstrates how many ways there are to make a change, from eco cleaning products to Fairtrade condoms.
With businesses like Organique encouraging the strong ethics of sustainability, it can be sure that Bristol will remain thoroughly in the centre of the organic map.
