Bill Clanton is a United States citizen who has recently been accused of defamation of character, unauthorized use of images as well as slander on his personal blog. His recent actions are believed to be an attempt to increase traffic to his website.

April 3, 2010 Bill Clanton, an American citizen has recently posted unauthorized photographs of other bloggers as well as untrue information on his personal website CostaRicaBlogger.com. Clanton has a reputation of slandering bloggers who post on the same topics, claims he owns the rights to the ideas, and is known for attempting to defame his competition.

His slogan “Honest, Unbiased Information” appears to merely a clever advertising scheme, as many of his posts slander bloggers such as Bret Dudl and Costa Rica Views. According to locals, Bill Clanton does not properly research his content, site resources and simply makes up information proving his bias.

In his most recent blog, Clanton accused a Costa Rican local and his wife of plagiarism in their recent travel guide; however Bill Clanton has admitted he has not purchased the travel guide and can make no comments about the content. “I have not read your book.” Bill Clanton replied to the authors comment on CostaRicaBlogger.com.

Clanton also stated that the couple were not living in Costa Rica, and made untrue comments on the couple‘s personal life with no proper background research. Comments were also found on his Facebook Fanpage slandering the couple, and untrue comments were made about posts which had been taken down.

Clanton‘s site Costa Rica Blogger claims to be non-profit, however it does gain income from advertisements. In addition, on Bill Clanton‘s Facebook page, he notes his employer as “Costa Rica Blogger.” It is believed that current controversy regarding his blog posts is simply an attempt to gain more traffic to his website in an effort to compete with other, more well known bloggers and generate more revenue through advertisements.

Oddly, the website does not have a “contact us” or “about the author” page, which gives the website very little credibility. Comments criticizing his posts are also deleted in contrast to his “honest, unbiased information” slogan, and his unprofessional and bias nature is proven through crude remarks made on his relatively small Facebook Fanpage.

After Clanton‘s recent blog post which slandered and defamed the Costa Rican local and his wife, the couple has decided to press charges unless the post is taken down or amended. Comments were made accusing the couple of plagiarism and slandered their character.
