Case Studies
Just last year multiplex cinema chain, Cineworld, rolled out Protouch kiosks across 75 of its UK cinemas to handle the registration to their Unlimited Film Programme. The Xen X5 kiosks were designed to sit in the main foyer of the cinema enabling cinemagoers to sign up for the Unlimited Film Programme, which entitles them to watch any film, any day any time at any Cineworld cinemas for £13.50 per month, without the help of staff. And the kiosk proved a massive success. In just six months the kiosks saved Cineworld in excess of 1,000 staff hours and increased new members by 100 per week, resulting in the number of unlimited sign ups being increased by 10 per cent.

More so, they went on to win best Use of Technology in the Hospitality and Leisure Sector at the Retail System Awards 2009, proving that leisure kiosk systems do work and are successful.

John Anderson, Cineworlds Marketing Co-ordinator, said, The Unlimited programme is a large and important part of our business and distinguishes us from every other cinema company in the UK and other Protouchs kiosks are helping us to advance this programme.

Protouchs Marketing Manager, Amanda Wallace, said, This guide is our way of giving people the best tips and advice on kiosk deployment in the leisure industry.

Many companies are unaware of how much potential a kiosk can have on their business and we at Protouch want to show them how.
