14 days of cheering event made it a likeable page.

Olympic fever exempts none, especially when it is backed by knowledgeable insights, quizzing posts, cheering and rejoicing of the triumphant moments. Such was the scenario and aura at the facebook page of Raindrops Basmati Rice when it celebrated Olympics. Fans thronged the page and participated in the contest with sheer enthusiasm.

In the very first place it all was initiated and triggered by a weeklong gyan- sharing of Olympic facts coupled with a few attractive creatives, images and countdown post each day. And much like a countdown- it did get the hearts of all the fans racing. And by the time Ms. Raindrops was introduced, who generously announced and gave away prizes to participant winners, excitement saw a new level of celebration.

In this a 14 day long contest of Olympics and related Q&A‘s, Ms. Raindrops the quiz master and the rice mascot posted interesting questions each day. Like,

Ms. Raindrops wants to know: Which country's team leads the procession of athletes in Olympics opening ceremony and which team walks in the last?

Ms. Raindrops wants to know: How many seats are there in the Olympic Stadium in London?

Ms. Raindrops ants to know: With which sport is the sports person - 'Mary Kom' related to?

Ms. Raindrops‘ promising rewards of 1 Kg rice each day and 5 Kgs on Tuesdays to one lucky winner who answered correctly got the spirits of the fans soaring even more. Winners were randomly picked but the whole contest saw incredible responses from across the nation. Each day on an average 80 likes and 170 comments were registered. The fan count shot up by 1500 likes, which was both a result of the contest craze and running of facebook ads.

And finally to give it a riveting culmination Ms. Raindrops posed with 7 different flags. The catch here was that her image with these 7 flags was posted for an hour randomly through the day just for an hour each, and was then deleted. The fans were to save all these 7 images, compile and send it across at an assigned raindrops email id. And a lucky one would be the winner of the day.

So after almost a 3 week long Olympic event, fans at raindrops had a gala time cheering, answering and celebrating the sporting moments of 2012 London Olympics with a basmati rice brand- Raindrops.
