The reliable programmer is capable of handling several different devices such as programmable read-only memory (PROM), programmable logic device (PLD), flash microcontroller or serial and parallel memory. It also automatically identifies the manufacturers and types of EPROMs, TTL/CMOS logic ICs and dynamic or static random access memory devices.
GAO Embedded' s universal programmer, model VP58B, features a high programming speed, a test vector capability, a multi-array fuse map editor, device insertion and poor-pin-contact check and an auto-run mode which starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion. It offers a 48 Pin ZIF socket and connects with any laptop, PC or PS/2 through a USB port. The meter manages 16 and 32-bit word split and operates under windows 2000/NT/9X/ME/XP operating systems. In addition, the universal programmer supports most compliers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, ORCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA.
