(12PressRelease.com) The long wait is almost here for the 5th version of SBD Directory Software. This has been in development since February, and is finally ready to open up for Beta testing.
Some of the most famous web directories include Dmoz, JoeAnt and the Internet Public Library. Like most free general directories these websites face reviewing thousands of websites on a regular basis. SBD Directory Software revolutionises the review process, to streamline the queue by creating a â€ËœRisk Assessmentâ€â„¢ of each and every website. Spam or poorly written submissions get put into a higher risk level, making it easier to sort out the garbage and focus on good submissions.
SBD 5.0 builds on this to allow additional custom risk assessment options. On top of this for the first time ever, though the power of Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX, the process is even faster. You can now review, edit, delete, ban or accept up to 100 websites without the need to reload the page. This makes the review process even quicker, and users will notice a significant difference to prior versions.
New plugin and template systems make it easy to customize your script to create any style of directory. It also allows for easier customisation for developers. A range of templates and plugins will be released along with the script.
5.0 has literally hundreds of new and original features, all of which will be announced closer to the November 2010 release date. For now a small handful of testers are trying them out, getting them ready for release in 3-4 months time.
