(12PressRelease.com) The 2nd Annual Nora O‘Brien Fall Classic to Benefit Hollywood HEART
Saturday, October 2nd 2010
Whitsett Fields, North Hollywood, California
Los Angeles, CA/September 24, 2010 Non-profit organization Hollywood HEART (www.hollywoodheart.org), who opens doors for at-risk children and teens infected and affected with HIV/AIDS in Southern California is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Nora O‘Brien Fall Classic taking place Saturday, October 2nd 2010 at Whitsett Fields in North Hollywood, California.
The all-day tournament which drew over 300 attendees via teams and spectators last year and raised over $25K, is set to be even bigger and better this year.
Established as a scholarship fund for NBC Universal Executive and Hollywood HEART board member, Nora O‘Brien who unexpectedly passed away in 2009, the tournament was created as a way to remember her legacy, love and huge heart with an organization she cherished the most. The scholarship fund allows for Hollywood HEART to extend opportunities for kids and teens living with or among HIV/AIDS to experience the joys of summer camp companionship, camaraderie and friendship, while also serving as an outlet for these amazing kids to share their personal experiences with the disease with others who are living with or amongst this deadly virus.
The round robin tournament, consisting of 8 teams, some of whom are traveling from Northern California and as far as the east coast have fundraised for months (http://hollywoodheart.dojiggy.com/) and Hollywood HEART honors the top fundraisers with both individual and team prize recognition. In addition, the day will bring out some of the campers, food trucks, a special guest emcee/host and a raffle for donated items.
