The rock driven music album The Black Letter is a solid debut CD from a versatile and up-coming band that you will be sure to hear much more about in the near future. Eve's Burden features singer Sharon Jordan who has a great vocal quality like a favorable combination of Ann Wilson, Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin and Melissa Etheridge. The awesome guitar work throughout the album is crafted by producer-guitarist Jerry Leal, the style of which is reminiscent of Santana, Jimi Hendrix or Led Zeppelin. The group has been rapidly rising ever since they started their music journey together. Eve's Burden has already gained a huge fan following, and their music is fascinating in that every song tells a story.

The album has got something delightful as the '80s about the overall sound. With the wonderful keyboard, bass, and drums rounding out the backing instrumentation of the songs and creating a solid, full and real rock sound. At first Eve‘s Burden seems like a vehicle for the band‘s vocalist Sharon Jordan who just does not sound like a white girl, however that‘s a wonderful thing. Instead, this blues diva and yes, she‘s earned that queenly title belts it out like a gospel choir soloist on all of these mostly-funky pop tunes. Upon continued listening however the unique magical uplifting feeling of their songs begins to shine through. The songs are quite lyrical, melodic, and catchy, with introspective, sociological lyrics capable of entertaining anybody with the magic of real music. The album is available globally and featured in iTunes as well.

Critics already applauded the performance of Sharon Jordan saying that it‘s not just another album but “17 Tracks of pure Rapture wrapped up in a nice little music package" That is how it becomes a well-produced and ready for extensive radio play album. The opener acoustic rock track “Love Keeps Me Hanging On" is filled with catchy lyrics and nice guitar work which is already a favorite in youtube. "The Fame Game" is a song about the life of a breakthrough musician that features memorable lyrics, a catchy chorus and a harmonica, "Candy Girl "is a solid rock song filled with great lyrics and hooky guitar work, "Black Lightning" is a dark bluesy hard hitting guitar anthem. Complete information about the group can be collected from the band's website.

About the Eve‘s Burden Rock Band

Eve's Burden hails from California, United States. The album is produced by Saint Charles Thurman and Jerry Leal. The comment about the philosophy of their songs from Jerry Leal shows his dedication to the music. He states that "nowadays people are bombarded with too many negative messages in music, constant themes of hatred, revenge, infidelity and sadness bring you down." In producing this record the group decided to weave positive themes into the music, such as forgiveness, love, overcoming, letting go and redemption, basically just the opposite. He goes on to say "many studies have been done showing the effects of music on animals and even plants wherein joyful and positive sounds have a health promoting effect and just the reverse is true of harsh negative sounding music, even the keys of our songs use frequencies designed to bring you up and not down."

The Team features... Sharon Jordan - Vocals, Jerry Leal Guitar, J.T. Hurt Drums, Joseph Boone Bass and Andrew Jordan Keyboards.
