Apple announced the release of iOS 12, which is the highlight of this conference. Before the final launching day, developers were able to download the first beta version and begin testing the firmware. The official release date of IOS 12, is on September 17/2018, after a series of improvements and bug fixes in beta versions. Experts from Managed Network also started a research of new Apple iOS 12.

Apple iOS 12: Performance and Security

We all know that the previous firmware version has been flooded with many errors and crashes. It got to the point that errors in IOS were already found in public versions, and the company had to quickly correct them. Apple released a series of updates to its software to fix problems in iOS 11, but the issue of stability and reliability remains open. Putting these facts together, Bloomberg suggested that Apple will bring the emergence of new functions until 2019. And the new iOS 12 has focused on improved performance and reliability.

IOS 11 added so many new features (yes, they are very useful). But, users appreciate Apple for their “problem-free” device performance, compared to Android. In line with this, improved user experience and reliable system operation will be welcomed by Apple technology fans.

This does not mean that iOS 12 has not come with any new features. But before plunging into the potential features of iOS 12, let’s see which devices will be compatible with the new OS.

Apple iOS 12: which devices will be supported?

As is the case with the failure of iPhone 5s support on iOS 11, the twelfth version of the OS will also take a similar step. It is likely that in the case of 12 IOS, compatibility with old iPads and iPhones will also go away. If you now install version 11 on 5S, then it will work very hard, and what happens if you put 12?

Will iOS 12 support iPhone 5s?

It is likely that Apple has already tested on 5 / 5S IOS 12. But it’s not a fact that the public version will be compatible with it unless the developers make a separate and less powerful version specifically for the iPhone 5 / 5s. In turn, the 6th generation iPod Touch will get support for iOS 12. It was released in 2015, so we can expect it to Managed IT Services Derby still be able to try out this update.

Apple iOS 12: features

Although expect the appearance of a large number, as it was in iOS 11, new functions are not worth it, yet the most relevant of them can be added.

What exactly needs to be implemented in iOS 12 is that it is more able to add AR reality, thanks to ARKit. Here we also include the addition of hundreds of new Animoji, which will add fun when chatting with friends. Apple spent a lot of effort in developing these technologies to stop everything. So expect a lot of new features that allow you to combine real and additional reality.

Dark Mode

It is unlikely that Apple will radically change the user interface and design in IOS 12. However, Dark Mode is expected to appear on OLED displays on the iPhone X. This will help reduce power consumption and improve battery life.

Also, in iOS 12 may appear grouped notifications that have long been used on Android devices. Company engineers can bring more functionality to the Control Center and use Force Touch to further improve the system.

Improved parental control

Apple iOS 12 will allow parents to track the time spent by their child with the phone. With the addition of a new tool, Digital Health will be able to control the screen time of the device.

Siri with iOS 12

Apple Siri Voice Assistant has been around for many years. But I couldn’t improve my work with AI compared to Google Assistant, Alexa or Amazon. Apple seriously needs to improve the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning in order for Siri to remain a relevant and competitive function. Probably, they hired the former head of Google, which is engaged in development in the field of AI. Therefore, Apple can significantly improve the performance of Siri with iOS 12.
