Mr. Habeeb Ghatala, dean, Apollo Hospitals Education & Research Foundation, opined on the increased efficiency of achievers during the difficult times of business gained through multi-tasking etc. as organisations downsized and provided extended opportunities to the retained professionals. The convention was hugely successful in identifying the critical role of HR as a strategic business function - no less important than other verticals like Marketing and Finance - especially in today's tumultuous business environment.
