The Wahoo Newspaper is pleased to present a new social media initiative called WikiCity Guides, which offers an online community guide that anyone can edit.
Similar to Wikipedia, WikiCity Guides is a free wiki and anyone can contribute. However, WikiCity Guides is designed to promote local community, commerce, tourism, and everyday life within Wahoo  thus welcoming content that is typically not suited for Wikipedia.

WikiCity Guides gives users a unique opportunity to contribute in a way that suits them best, albeit promoting their favorite local business, sharing an opinion, recapping the big game, or chronicling historical landmarks and traditions within the community. “WikiCity Guides was developed with the premise that everybody knows a little something about somethingÂ… It cultivates a free, collaborative resource for anyone to share their knowledge of Wahoo. The site is a collection of local facts, figures, businesses, and opinions that will continue to grow in size and usefulness with each edit,” says Pat Lazure of WikiCity Guides.
