Rukmi is about to burn herself to death when Deep stops her. He threatens her that even if she was dead, he could still ruin Rasal's happiness by telling her what she and Ranvir had done. He leaves a broken Rukmi, reminding her to come to the hotel the next day. In her room, Rukmi remembers the day Chanchal had wiped her sindoor and how that had put Ranvir's life in danger. She realises that Deep has done a good deed by stopping her from committing suicide as her death would have put Ranvir's life in danger. She makes herself mentally strong as she decides that she must save her dignity and honour.
