For the most part, it is because an acquaintance or family member introduced them to it, and NOT because someone performed their investigation. But ultimately, does this make it a wise choice? By joining a MLM organization, you're founding your own company. However it's always astonishing how few actually stop to research explicitly what it must take to succeed in their new enterprise.

Here's the gotcha: EVERY network marketing organization is going to promise everyone that theirs is the hottest ticket. Period. And they're skilled at making you believe it! Best pay plan, best products, ground floor chance, or whatever else their angle is.

You Want To Make Profit, Correct?

Let's be honest. If you're involved in MLM as a hobby, a social event, or just to shut up someone who got you signed up, then it can't matter the company you choose. And that's altogether ok! Tons of people are in the business for those reasons.

Fad or Hype Products: I remember an acquaintance gave me some plastic ball one time that you put in your washing machine and it purportedly replaced laundry soap. As far as I could tell, it was nothing but a plastic ball! I'm guessing that operation no longer exists. Some products simply aren't credible. Others might be short lived just due to their nature (many technology items fall into this department). What happens to a company if their product is no longer useful? It likely won't stay in operation, and again, your earnings cease.

Limited Market Products: Though not fundamentally a "no" decision, you might want to think over whether a product with a limited market is sensible. For example, a product line only for a woman will ignore half of your possible consumers. An anti-aging product might cut out 75% of the people. It's a fact to examine.

The Key Factor For Choosing Your MLM Company

Ready? The right sponsor. Period.

Nothing else will matter more, or even close.

So, be clear. The right sponsor is not automatically anyone who's made money. Just because they earned money does not mean you will. And, sadly, it's probably not your sister, brother or coworker who just started last week and is anxious to recruit you.

You need somebody who knows how to teach you to make money. Somebody who should guide you exactly how to implement great systems and has great training. You must have a mentor and a coach. Few people in network marketing do this! Most sponsors, even those who are making money, just parrot the same old talk to their organizations, which is why so many network marketers fail.
